Ashley is Vice President for Enrollment at Carthage. Originally from Morristown, Minnesota, she has a bachelor of science in business administration from Concordia University—Nebraska, and an MBA from Concordia University—Wisconsin.

What do you learn from interacting with Carthage students?
“I’ve learned that every student has a story to tell. Carthage students aren’t afraid to take advantage of the things that the school has to offer.”
What do you value most about working at Carthage?
“Working with students at such a life-changing age really makes it a joy to come into work. Our students really want to make a difference.”
Hobbies:
“Reading, knitting, and spending time with my two girls.”
Favorite Carthage tradition:
“Late Night Breakfast! On the Sunday before Finals Week, the President joined professors and staff in serving a full breakfast to students in the cafeteria, starting at 10 o’clock. Finals Week can be a super-stressful time, and being able to serve students breakfast and have a good time is really fun and rewarding.”

Grey’s Anatomy, 911, The Resident

“The American President and Yours, Mine, and Ours (the original with Lucille Ball and Harry Fonda).”
Favorite sports team:
“Go Pack Go! Even though I am from Minnesota, I cheer on the Green Bay Packers!”
What would people be surprised to know about you?
“I am actually very handy. I love home improvement projects and doing things around our home.”
What are your recommendations for people new to Kenosha?
“Eat at all the good restaurants! Coffee Pot is a go-to for me. Also, spend some time in downtown Kenosha on the lakefront. It’s a hidden gem.”
